SDSU Alumni Center

Attached to the Jerome J. Lohr building along Medary Avenue the South Dakota State University Alumni Center houses both SDSU Foundation and Alumni Association. Journey Construction was chosen by the Foundation to be their Construction Manager at Risk partner to help lead the project team through preconstruction, construction and owner occupancy.

The alumni center is a two story 16,000 square foot extension to the Jerome J. Lohr building that Journey Construction Professionals constructed over ten years earlier. Alumni Center functions including; event space, offices, reception hall, commercial kitchen, hall of fame, and conference rooms. Concrete foundations support a structural steel frame with aluminum storefront, metal panels, and brick veneer skin. Highlighted with an abundance of natural light, warm and inviting finishes coat interior spaces speaking to the extreme pride that belongs to every SDSU alumni.
