Dakota State University - Beacom Institute of Technology

Dakota State University - Beacom Institute of Technology

This $11.4 million facility serves as a resource for the entire university, and every on-campus student has opportunities to collaborate on projects, participate in classes and seminars, and attend special events in the Beacom Institute of Technology. The two-story building added 31,000 sq. ft. of space to house classrooms, collaboration space, a performance area, technology-focused labs, and offices.

The Beacom Institute of Technology building recognizes a lead gift toward the project from alumnus Miles Beacom and his wife, Lisa. Gov. Dennis Daugaard joined the Beacom family along with 300 students, faculty, staff, and friends on June 29, 2016 to celebrate the start of construction.
