Pasley Park is located along the Big Sioux River in southeast Sioux Falls. As Parks and Recreation added maintenance facilities and recreation programs to this location it became evident to the City that the existing park entrance was no longer adequate for the amount of traffic generated. The City redesigned the park entrance to route traffic under the BNSF rail bridge and switched back to the park. To facilitate elevation drop a cast in place retaining wall was constructed to hold grade at Southeastern Avenue. With only 15 feet from the retaining wall to back of curb on Southeastern Avenue a temporary sheet pile wall was installed. The new wall incorporates a decorative stone form liner and staining pattern to give the look of a split face stone wall.
