University of Sioux Falls - New Residence Hall

Phase one includes building and site demolition, site work and building construction.  Demolition includes parking and Patterson Hall, a 1970s era apartment building, both on the corner of 22nd and Summit Avenue.  Several small houses and out buildings between Prairie and Summit Avenues at 25th Street will be replaced with parking.  Construction includes a new residence hall, parking lot and related site work.

The L-shaped 44,000 square feet residence hall is three stories with a partial concrete basement and will house 188 students and a Resident Director.  Construction materials include; structural precast concrete, architectural precast concrete with brick inlay, structural steel, aluminum storefronts, and steel stud framing.   First and second floors will connect with Mears Library following the library renovation phase.
