This project consisted of a three story 96 unit dormitory and adjoining educational facility housing classrooms, computer labs and administrative offices. The building includes a structural steel and core floor frame with metal studs and masonry. The building was enclosed with an EIFS and brick veneer skin.
This project broke away from traditional dormitory design and resulted in a faith based community experience that students thrive on. Housing 180 sophomore, juniors, and senior students this campus living center boasts spacious rooms with air-conditioning, in-room sinks, built-in lofted beds as well as desks and dressers. Providing maximum comfort, faith based community, and convenient housing option, the Bill and Marian Sullivan Faith & Living Center is a key to the success of USF students.
The construction manager at risk delivery system was selected for this project, and allowed for the successful completion of a phased project in the heart of the University of Sioux Falls campus. The CM at Risk delivery system also granted the owner access to their construction professional early in the design process.
The Sioux Falls Construction Team brought collaboration, technical expertise, scheduling, project coordination, and most of all a construction professional and team member that was counted on throughout the entire design and construction process. Working hand in hand with the design team and USF, Sioux Falls Construction Company met construction industry issues head on by providing leadership to deliver a top class facility on time and on budget.
