My Journey

The Journey Group is a professional construction company and we treat our employees—all of them—like professionals. Whether you’re working on a bridge crew or a church renovation, you’ll find a positive culture that focuses on safety and quality craftsmanship. Every employee who works at least 30 hours a week is guaranteed a rich benefits package, including:

  • Competitive wages with weekly paychecks
  • Health, dental, vision for you and your family
  • Flex Spending Account
  • Health Savings Account
  • Short and Long Term Disability
  • Group Life and AD&D Insurance for you, your spouse and your dependents
  • 401k with a company match
  • Paid Holidays
  • Paid Time Off
  • Bereavement pay

Your benefits start right away.

To get you started, we provide our crews in the field with basic tools and personal protective equipment. After 30 days on the job, you’re already eligible to join our 401k investment program on the next 1st of the month, and that comes with a company match. The rest of your benefits kick in after 60 days. We move so quickly because we want all of our employees—including our seasonal ones—to get their full benefits. If you’re a seasonal employee, you can also pre-pay your health benefits for the rest of the year to get full coverage throughout the year.

We take safety seriously.

More than anything, we want to make sure that our employees go home safely, every single night. We have a dedicated safety program, led by a safety director who maintains compliance with national and state OSHA regulations. As a new employee, you’ll receive safety training and personal protective safety equipment. You’ll also be encouraged to be a safety leader for your coworkers through our Safety Observation Conversation program.

Build your skills.

We provide opportunities for ambitious employees to learn more and do more. Depending on your role, you can take advantage of opportunities for training and certifications. Certain positions are eligible for bonuses and other incentives. (We’ll note that in the position description.) If you have potential, we’re here to reward it.

Start your journey.

Our employees are important to the success of every Journey project. We need responsible employees who work well with others and take pride in their work. If that’s you, search our current openings for a position.
