IN PROGRESS - Dow Rummel Memory Care and Assisted Living Expansion

This project will include over 120,000 square feet of additions and remodeling to Dow Rummel Village.  The primary addition will provide thirty memory care and thirty assisted living units along with support spaces such as living, dining, and sitting areas as well as private porches with courtyard access.  Mainstreet additions will include featured storefronts such as a library, diner, and a general store. Kitchens and dining spaces will encourage group activities participation by the residents and their families.  A gathering hall addition will also be added adjacent to the chapel to allow for larger group activities.  Building additions will complement existing structures on campus and are primarily steel structures with brick and siding exteriors. Shingle roof systems will maintain a residential appearance.  Remodeled areas will include additional “Main Street” shops such as a theater, beauty shop, craft room, art room and a pub space with access to the putting range.  The beautiful existing courtyards will be enhanced with new walking paths, trees, and shrubs as well as playground equipment, shade structures, and other landscape features to encourage community residents to enjoy some fresh air.  The project started in May 2017 and is scheduled to be complete in the Fall of 2019.
