I-29 and I-229 Interchange

The I-29 and I-229 interchange project includes demolition and replacement of two 300 foot bridges while maintaining interstate traffic flow through the southwest corner of Sioux Falls. This project includes 15,000 linear feet of fourteen inch piles and over 1.8 million pounds of structural steel bridge girders. Concrete deck reinforcing steel will be the first bridge in the state of South Dakota to receive the Zinc and Epoxy Dual-Coating System by GERDAU Company located in Knoxville, Tennessee. SFC Civil has set SDDOT temporary bridge structure this past fall in preparation of an April 2016 construction start.
