The 53,000 square foot project was a replacement school facility north of Waubay, SD. At the time of completion, the new school served 156 students in grades K-8. The design and construction of the school reflects the cultural and traditional designs of the Dakota Oyate (Sioux People) in northeast South Dakota. The building features a geothermal system to heat and cool the facility.
Sioux Falls Construction was involved in preconstruction services including assistance in applying for funding for the project through the Grant Bureau & Indian Affairs.
